Honors College students demonstrate intellectual curiosity, ambition, integrity and global citizenship.
Honors College students will take specially designated honors courses and have the opportunity to engage in research, internships and service projects. Students will be prepared to seamlessly transfer to a four-year institution to further pursue their academic goals.

Honors courses are small, personal and engaging — you’ll get to know your classmates and faculty members quickly and well. Honors College students are also eligible for special opportunities, including:
Full-tuition scholarships for four semesters at HVCC (fall, spring) Students accepted into the Honors College will be eligible for full-tuition scholarships. All students must complete the FAFSA and take advantage of any financial aid opportunities before a scholarship may be available.

Honors capstone Internship, research or service project related to the major.
Center for Service Learning & Civic Engagement at HVCC Opportunities for volunteering and incorporating service learning into coursework.
ePortfolio Digital platform that allows students to keep track of course work and service, highlight accomplishments and reflect on their progress.
NOTE: Students must maintain a GPA of 3.5 to remain in good standing with the Honors College.
